Special Education Teacher - Saint Paul, Minnesota

Step into a rewarding role supporting young learners as a Special Education Teacher for a contract assignment running from now through June 11th, with the potential for Extended School Year continuation. This position serves a small group of five students in grades 1 through 3, focusing on social-emotional growth within an ASD and EBD classroom setting. Key Qualifications:

• Minnesota teaching license, Tier 2 or Tier 3 required
• Endorsement or classroom experience with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) or EBD (Emotional/Behavioral Disorders) strongly preferred
• Passion and skill for delivering social-emotional support and differentiated instruction
• Ability to collaborate effectively with paraprofessionals and school staff
• Experience with reading interventions and strong elementary math skills

What You’ll Do:

• Provide instruction and support for a small, diverse group of students
• Implement IEP goals, focusing on social-emotional learning and academic growth
• Employ strategies and interventions appropriate for ASD and EBD populations
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals to ensure individualized care (4 of 5 students have 1:1 support)
• Foster a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom community
• Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary team members
