This assignment runs from late February through mid-June, offering a dedicated professional the chance to make a real impact as a Special Education Teacher.

You’ll work full-time during regular school hours, supporting a small caseload of K-5 students who thrive with a teacher passionate about helping develop functional communication and life skills.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid ASD teaching license or certification required
  • Experience or strong interest in working with K-5 students with high needs ASD
  • Genuine love for working with children who benefit from elevated support in communication and everyday skills
  • Ability to adapt lessons and use individualized strategies for student development
  • Positive, patient, and collaborative approach with students, families, and staff

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans for students on the caseload (approximately 7–9 students)
  • Foster supportive, inclusive, and structured environments for students with significant needs
  • Collaborate with related services staff, parents, and paraprofessionals to coordinate consistent routines and teaching methods
  • Monitor and document progress, making real-time adjustments as progress is made
  • Prioritize communication development and provide direct instruction in social and life skills
