Step into an impactful contract position supporting students with diverse learning needs in a setting designed for meaningful growth. Beginning August 31, 2026, and running through June 4, 2027, this full-time role offers the opportunity to work with a dedicated group of 6–10 students in a Setting 3 classroom for those with Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). You’ll make a difference each day while benefiting from a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week within a single school building.

Key Qualifications & Licensure:

  • Certified Special Education Teacher with a valid Minnesota license
  • Endorsement in ASD or DCD required; must hold Tier 3 or Tier 4 licensure
  • Experience or aptitude for working in DCD and/or ASD Setting 3 environments
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive classroom environment
  • Passion for individualized instructional planning and behavioral interventions

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student
  • Deliver targeted instruction in academic, social, and life skills for students with DCD and ASD
  • Collaborate with support staff, therapists, and families to provide comprehensive care
  • Foster a safe, respectful, and consistent classroom routine
  • Monitor progress and adapt strategies to maximize student development
  • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with state and federal regulations
