This full-time contract opportunity is designed for passionate Special Education Teachers committed to making a difference in the lives of students with Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD) and those on the Autism Spectrum (ASD). The assignment will span the 2026-2027 school year, from late August to early June, offering you the chance to foster growth and development within a supportive classroom environment.

Qualifications:

• Active Minnesota teaching license with Tier 3 or 4 status
• Endorsement in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD) required
• Experience working with Setting 3 classrooms is highly valued
• Ability to deliver individualized instruction and adapt to students’ unique strengths and needs
• Strong collaboration skills to partner with paraprofessionals, related service staff, and families
• Deep commitment to creating inclusive, engaging classroom experiences

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to a caseload of approximately 6-10 students in a Setting 3 classroom
• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual learning profiles
• Work closely with a dedicated team within one school building
• Utilize evidence-based strategies to support communication, behavioral, and academic success
• Foster a positive, structured environment that encourages growth and independence
• Collect data, monitor progress, and adjust interventions as needed
• Engage in professional development and ongoing learning relevant to ASD and DCD
