Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Current and valid licensure as a Special Education Teacher
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
• Experience working with students who have a variety of learning, emotional, or physical disabilities
• Proficiency in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Flexibility and creativity in instructional approaches to address differing learning styles
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and respectful classroom culture

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and execute lesson plans based on IEP goals and state standards
• Provide direct instruction, support, and accommodations to students with special needs
• Monitor progress, adjust teaching strategies, and track academic and behavioral data
• Collaborate regularly with general education teachers, administrators, and support staff
• Engage with parents and guardians through regular updates and meetings regarding student progress
• Implement positive behavioral interventions and support systems within the classroom
• Participate in IEP meetings, staff development, and ongoing professional learning
