Key Qualifications:
- Minnesota Teaching Credential in Special Education: Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (Tier 3 or 4 license required)
- Previous experience working within special education programs preferred
- Strong understanding of differentiated instruction, IEP development, and data-driven interventions
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt to varied student needs and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction to students with developmental cognitive disabilities across different age groups
- Develop and implement IEPs in compliance with legal, ethical, and school guidelines
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, specialists, and families to support student success
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, staff professional development, and parent conferences
- Foster an inclusive, respectful, and safe classroom atmosphere
