Special Education Teacher in Saint Paul, MN

Make a significant impact in the lives of young learners as an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher, supporting preschool-aged children with disabilities as they build essential cognitive, social, emotional, and communication skills. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and continuously monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), tracking progress and adapting plans to student needs.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and classroom observations for eligibility determination, goal setting, and instructional improvement.
• Collaborate closely with families, fellow teachers, and related service providers to coordinate cohesive, student-centered support.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and ongoing support to paraprofessionals assisting in the classroom environment.
• Utilize positive behavior intervention strategies and social-emotional learning techniques to foster engagement and build a supportive classroom community.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Valid Early Childhood Special Education licensure required.
• Experience serving children ages 3-5 with diverse learning and developmental needs.
