Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid teaching license with Special Education certification
- Prior experience as a Special Education Teacher is strongly preferred
- Understanding of diverse learning needs and effective individualized instruction
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to create tailored educational plans and modify curriculum as needed
- Commitment to a positive, inclusive classroom culture
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and measure individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with varied needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, and families to support each student’s success
- Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and adapt lessons for individual student needs
- Maintain detailed and up-to-date documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
- Foster an encouraging, respectful classroom environment where all students feel safe and valued
- Track student progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and related professional development opportunities
