Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching license with Physical and Health Disabilities (P/HD) endorsement.
- Experience in conducting functional evaluations and developing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Demonstrated skill in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including occupational therapists, physical therapists, and classroom teachers.
- Strong understanding of classroom accessibility needs and adaptive technologies.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Experience working with a diverse K-12 student population in an itinerant or consulting role is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site consultations and support to school staff on curriculum modifications and physical accessibility to ensure all students can actively participate.
- Utilize expertise in assistive technology to recommend and implement strategies that enhance student independence and learning.
- Conduct comprehensive functional evaluations for students and lead the creation, implementation, and monitoring of IEPs.
- Facilitate collaborative meetings, contributing to student success by working closely with families, classroom teachers, and related service providers.
- Monitor and document progress, making data-driven adjustments to support student growth and compliance with due process requirements.
