Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education
- Valid state certification as a Special Education Teacher
- Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting preferred
- Strong communication and collaborative skills
- Familiarity with IEP processes and inclusive teaching strategies
- Ability to adapt lessons and interventions to meet diverse student needs
- Enthusiasm for professional learning and development
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to students with varying needs
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with families and staff
- Monitor student progress, keeping accurate records and reporting on goals
- Foster a positive, supportive classroom climate that encourages student growth
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
- Participate in staff development sessions during the weeks of August 24th and August 31st
- Prepare for the start of the academic year with students returning on September 8th
