Qualifications and Skills:

• A current Special Education Teaching license appropriate for the assignment
• Prior experience working with students in a special education setting
• Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to employ diverse instructional strategies and interventions
• Compassion, patience, and adaptability in working with exceptional learners

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction based on students’ specific needs and learning styles
• Develop, write, and implement IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Work closely with students, families, and staff to ensure the best educational outcomes
• Create a safe, positive classroom climate that supports student growth
• Monitor student progress, collect data, and report on achievements and challenges
• Adapt lesson plans and curriculum materials to accommodate a wide range of abilities
• Participate in ongoing professional development and staff meetings
