Certified Grades 9 - 12 Special Education Teacher | Saint Paul, Minnesota

Make a meaningful impact at the high school level by supporting students in grades 9-12 as a Special Education Teacher on a contract basis. This position offers the opportunity to work with a manageable caseload of 15 students, delivering essential instruction and individualized support during the school day.

Essential Qualifications:

• Valid Tier 3 Minnesota Department of Education License in Special Education
• Experience writing, implementing, and monitoring Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Ability to collaborate effectively with related services staff and other educators
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment for high school students

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver specialized instruction adapted to individual student needs
• Develop and manage IEPs, track progress, and maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Collaborate with team members, including general educators and support staff, to achieve student success
• Provide direct instruction, accommodations, and modifications as outlined in IEPs
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and communications
• Communicate regularly with families and guardians regarding student growth and needs

Role Details:

• Contract position in a high school setting
• Full-time: 7.25 hours per day, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch, Monday through Friday
• Start and end times typically range from around 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM
