This rewarding contract position is based in a vibrant high school setting near Saint Paul, MN, where you’ll work with a manageable caseload of 15 students, ensuring individualized attention and tailored support.

As part of a collaborative team, you’ll be implementing IEPs and closely partnering with related services staff to help students achieve their full potential. The schedule is consistent, with 7.25-hour workdays and a 30-minute lunch break, typically starting around 7:30 a.m. and ending around 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, giving you structure while supporting work-life harmony.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current Tier 3 Minnesota Department of Education License in Special Education
  • Direct experience developing, writing, and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Comfort working collaboratively with related services professionals
  • Strong communication skills, flexibility, and commitment to student success
  • Experience with high school students (grades 9–12) is highly valued

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality instruction and specialized support individualized to each student’s needs
  • Develop and maintain IEPs, monitor progress and adjust as needed
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and parents to foster successful student outcomes
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all relevant guidelines and timelines
  • Cultivate a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
