Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience working with students in Grades K-5, 6-8, and/or 9-12
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and individualized instruction planning
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with colleagues, students, and families
- Adaptability and organizational skills in dynamic educational settings
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student strengths and needs
- Deliver specialized instruction both within general education classrooms and in one-on-one or small group sessions
- Assess student progress, adjusting strategies to maximize learning potential
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal special education laws
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and family members to ensure student growth and success
- Participate in team meetings, professional development opportunities, and parent conferences
