What we’re looking for:

• Current teaching certification in Special Education
• Experience teaching students in grades K-5, 6-8, and/or 9-12
• Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Familiarity with a variety of instructional practices for differentiated learning
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Dedication to fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment

Key responsibilities include:

• Creating and delivering engaging lesson plans tailored to students’ individual education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborating with general education teachers, families, and related service providers to meet each student’s needs
• Tracking student progress and maintaining accurate records
• Participating in IEP meetings and ongoing professional development
• Supporting student independence, self-advocacy, and social skills
• Cultivating a classroom atmosphere that encourages respect, safety, and a sense of belonging
