Special Education Teacher – Elementary

Location: St. Paul, Minnesota
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Length: Through June 9, 2027
Schedule: Full-Time | 40 hours/week | Monday–Friday

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support an elementary school in the St. Paul, MN area for the remainder of the 2026–2027 school year. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced special education professional to provide individualized academic and social-emotional support in a collaborative school environment.

Position Highlights

• Full-time schedule: 40 hours per week

• Monday–Friday

• Elementary school setting

• Approximately 17 students on caseload

• Support provided at one school campus

• Immediate start through June 9, 2027

• School-based onboarding and support provided

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction in resource math and resource reading

• Support students with social skills development

• Develop and implement instruction aligned with students' IEP goals

• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed

• Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families

• Participate in IEP meetings and other student-support activities

• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with special education requirements

Qualifications

• Current Minnesota Special Education teaching license required

• Experience working with elementary-aged students in a special education setting preferred

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Ability to provide individualized, student-centered instruction

• Commitment to supporting academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth
