Working in a full-time role from August 2026 through early June 2027 gives you the chance to broaden your expertise and develop leadership skills within a high-support, center-based Emotional Behavioral Disorders (EBD) classroom. This assignment will strengthen your clinical acumen, provide exposure to innovative practices in special education, and elevate your resume with hands-on experience supporting a diverse K–2 population with substantial needs.
As you collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and customize intervention strategies, you’ll not only help students achieve milestones, but also gain invaluable professional growth and insight into progressive educational approaches. Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota Special Education Teaching License; EBD licensure preferred
- Experience supporting students with significant behavioral needs
- Proficient in IEP and BIP development and implementation
- Skilled in behavioral intervention, de-escalation, and collaborative consultation
- Strong communication abilities; works effectively in team settings
- Preference for candidates with Level 3 behavior support experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver instruction in a center-based EBD classroom (approx. 6 students, K–2)
- Manage behavioral supports and provide individualized interventions
- Collaborate with classroom staff and contribute to school-wide best practices
- Develop trauma-informed, restorative, and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) strategies
- Implement and adjust IEPs and BIPs in partnership with families and specialists
