Your role will focus on a center-based Emotional Behavioral Disorders (EBD) classroom for K–2 students, providing both teaching and instructional leadership while helping shape supportive, positive learning environments.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Active Minnesota Special Education Teaching License (EBD licensure strongly preferred)
- Background in supporting students with significant behavioral needs
- Proficiency in developing/implementing IEPs and BIPs
- Skilled in behavior intervention, de-escalation, and classroom consultation
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Preferred: Experience in K–2 center-based classrooms, PBIS/CPI/restorative practices, trauma-informed instruction
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead instruction and classroom support for a high-support EBD setting (approximately 6 students)
- Develop and execute individualized plans for students
- Collaborate with support staff and contribute to a safe, positive classroom environment
- Employ restorative and trauma-informed practices
