These roles involve working with students in a split-session (AM/PM half-day programs), providing specialized instruction, and fostering an inclusive classroom community. As part of a committed district team, you'll help shape and deliver impactful educational experiences tailored to diverse learners.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility for certification)
- Previous experience in special education classroom settings strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt lessons and instruction for individual student needs
- Commitment to ongoing professional learning and participation in district initiatives
Position Details and Responsibilities:
- Full-time, school-year contract (8/17/26–5/28/27, 8:15 AM–3:30 PM, 30-minute lunch)
- Caseload: up to 12-24 students, divided between AM and PM sessions
- Deliver engaging instruction aligned with the prescribed curriculum
- Develop, implement, and adjust weekly lesson plans incorporating IEP goals
- Track and report on student progress and goal achievement three times yearly
- Create, manage, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Schedule and lead IEP meetings, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and ongoing professional development
- Fulfill additional duties as assigned within the program
