Step into a rewarding role supporting young learners as a 3rd Grade Special Education Teacher in a contract position near Salem, WI. This full-time contract opportunity follows a regular daily schedule from 7:50 AM–3:50 PM and spans the academic year, beginning August 24th, 2026. You’ll have the chance to contribute to students’ success while enjoying the support of a dedicated school team.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification for the state
• Previous experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably in a special education setting
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for partnering with families and staff
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Pass state and federal background checks

What You’ll Do:

• Create individualized instructional plans for a class of 3rd-grade students with diverse learning needs
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment supporting social, emotional, and academic growth
• Track and report student progress toward IEP goals, making recommendations as needed
• Support students in both general and specialized classroom settings
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
• Engage with parents and guardians on student progress and developments
• Attend meetings, trainings, and professional development as required
