Make an immediate impact in special education classrooms by supporting students’ academic and social growth in a variety of engaging settings. Multiple full-time and part-time contract positions are currently available for certified Special Education Teachers with experience in resource programs or self-contained autism support. Opportunities are available across elementary and middle school environments in the Salisbury, NC area.

Qualifications:

  • Active EC General Curriculum license (required; Adapted Curriculum not accepted)
  • Compliance with standard district credentialing, including valid Georgia/State EC License and background check
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
  • For Davis Townsend Elementary: experience or high comfort supporting students with autism in self-contained, maximum-support classrooms strictly teaching the general curriculum
  • For Silver Valley Elementary: ability to consistently work the part-time schedule (Monday—Thursday, 8:45 AM–1:45 PM) serving K–2 students

Key Role Details:

  • Resource Teacher, Full-Time – 2 roles at Fair Grove Elementary
  • CASE Teacher, Full-Time – 1 role at Davis Townsend Elementary (self-contained autism support)
  • EC Teacher, Full-Time – 1 role at E. Lawson Brown Middle School
  • Resource Teacher, Part-Time – 1 role at Silver Valley Elementary (K–2, 20 hours/week)

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality instruction, modifications, and supports aligned with the general curriculum
  • Develop and implement IEP goals in partnership with students, families, and colleagues
  • Foster inclusive, positive, and engaging learning environments
  • Adapt teaching strategies to diverse learner needs while maintaining rigorous standards
  • Track and document student progress effectively
