Key Qualifications:

  • Current state teaching license with Adapted Curriculum endorsement (strict requirement; no exceptions).
  • Demonstrated experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably in a separate or highly specialized school environment.
  • Ability to effectively implement targeted instructional and behavioral strategies tailored to students who need an adapted curriculum.
  • Strong organizational skills and adaptability in a dynamic school environment.
  • Comfort and experience working with middle or high school grade levels (highlighted experience or preference in your presentation is requested).

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop, adapt, and deliver instructional plans for students receiving services in a separate school setting.
  • Implement behavioral support plans, monitor student progress, and adjust teaching methods as needed.
  • Collaborate with other professionals—including related service providers and administrators—to create a safe and effective learning environment.
  • Maintain clear documentation and communicate regularly with families and team members about student success and goals.
  • Foster a positive, supportive classroom atmosphere that promotes respect, independence, and achievement.
