Special Education Teacher in Saluda, SC

Make an immediate impact as a Special Education Teacher working with a dedicated preschool, self-contained classroom. This full-time, contract position is located near Saluda, SC, and is set to begin as soon as possible, continuing through the end of the school year. You’ll provide specialized instruction and support to a small group of students (currently fewer than 10, though this may change if combined with the district's K–4 program) in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Active South Carolina Special Education Teacher license
• Experience or strong interest in working with preschool-aged students in a self-contained setting
• Ability to adapt to evolving caseloads and student needs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, working closely with families and school teams
• Flexibility, creativity, and a proactive mindset to support diverse learners

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction tailored to students’ IEPs and learning goals
• Develop and implement lesson plans fostering growth in academic, social, and life skills
• Manage classroom routines, ensuring a safe, nurturing environment for all students
• Maintain up-to-date documentation, including IEP progress and compliance records
• Collaborate with related service providers, general educators, and families to ensure cohesive support
