Located in San Antonio, TX, this contract position offers an opportunity for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to work with resource students in grades EC-6. The schedule runs Monday through Friday, from 7:45 AM to 3:30 PM, providing consistent weekday hours.
Responsibilities include managing a resource classroom of approximately 25 students, developing individualized education plans, and collaborating with colleagues to support student success. A key part of this role involves participation in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings, where teachers are expected to contribute effectively to discussions and decisions regarding student educational plans.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Texas Department of Education License in EC-6 Special Education and Core/Generalist Endorsement
- Proven experience with ARD processes and confidence in attending and contributing to related meetings
- Professional appearance in line with the school's dress code policy, which promotes equality and community standards: no visible tattoos, single-color hair, professional attire, and limited piercings (earrings only)
