This contract role is based onsite near San Bernardino, CA, with multiple openings available for professionals specializing in mild/moderate and moderate/severe disabilities. Your expertise will help create a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment for every student.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique strengths and goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers to foster inclusive and supportive classrooms
- Continuously monitor student progress, adapting teaching methods to optimize growth and success
- Directly instruct and support students across a wide spectrum of needs and learning abilities
- Engage and communicate regularly with students, families, and fellow staff to ensure everyone is informed and supported
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Maintain organized documentation to ensure compliance and facilitate smooth educational transitions
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field required (Master’s degree highly regarded)
- Valid California teaching credential with authorization in Special Education
- Demonstrated experience working with students with moderate/severe or mild/moderate disabilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills essential for collaboration and relationship-building
