Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a closely related field; Master’s degree preferred
  • Active California teaching credential authorizing Special Education
  • Demonstrated experience teaching students with moderate/severe or mild/moderate disabilities
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Commitment to fostering a nurturing, positive classroom atmosphere
  • Proven ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute effective, individualized education plans (IEPs) to drive student growth
  • Partner with general education staff to promote inclusive practices
  • Deliver direct instruction and targeted support for students with a range of disabilities
  • Continually assess progress, adapting learning strategies to meet individual needs
  • Facilitate open communication among parents, colleagues, and support staff
  • Actively participate in IEP meetings and compliance documentation
  • Maintain meticulous records for accurate reporting and progress tracking
