Special Education Teacher in San Bernardino, CA

Make a positive impact in the classroom, supporting students with special needs as an onsite Special Education Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. Several positions are available, spanning both Moderate/Severe and Mild/Moderate specializations.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or closely related field (Master’s degree a plus)
• Valid California teaching credential with Special Education authorization
• Prior experience instructing students with moderate/severe or mild/moderate disabilities
• Demonstrated strength in communication and collaboration
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with diverse needs
• Partner with general education staff to support inclusive classrooms
• Monitor student progress and tailor instruction accordingly
• Deliver direct instruction to students, adapting materials as necessary
• Communicate regularly with families, staff, and students about goals and progress
• Take part in IEP meetings and collaborate on multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain all required documentation and compliance records
