Key Qualifications:

• Valid state licensure as a Special Education Teacher
• Certification to teach special education at the elementary, middle, or high school level
• Previous classroom teaching experience preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both staff and families
• Adaptability to address diverse learning styles and needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver specially designed instruction to students in accordance with their IEPs
• Assess, monitor, and document student progress and development
• Collaborate with general education teachers, instructional aides, therapists, and other school professionals
• Engage parents and caregivers as active partners in the educational process
• Create a safe, inclusive, and constructive learning atmosphere
