Key Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure as a Special Education Teacher
- Certification to teach special education at the elementary, middle, or high school level
- Previous classroom teaching experience preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both staff and families
- Adaptability to address diverse learning styles and needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver specially designed instruction to students in accordance with their IEPs
- Assess, monitor, and document student progress and development
- Collaborate with general education teachers, instructional aides, therapists, and other school professionals
- Engage parents and caregivers as active partners in the educational process
- Create a safe, inclusive, and constructive learning atmosphere
