Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • Current and valid teaching license/certification for special education.

  • Knowledge of IDEA and best practices for supporting students with diverse needs.
  • Outstanding communication skills for collaborating with families, staff, and service providers.

Responsibilities in This Role:

  • Develop and implement individualized instructional plans to meet each student’s unique needs.
  • Conduct evaluations and assessments to track progress and update IEPs as necessary.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff for student success.
  • Create a classroom environment that is inclusive, respectful, and responsive.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with parents and guardians.
  • Participate in school meetings, professional development, and parent conferences.
