Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching credential
- Experience supporting elementary-aged students with mild to moderate disabilities
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload with sensitivity and creativity
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to elementary students, implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Develop lesson plans tailored to diverse learning styles and needs
- Work closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation
- Foster a safe, positive classroom environment where all students feel valued and included
- Utilize ongoing assessment and data to drive instructional decisions and support student progress
