Special Ed Teacher | San Marcos, Texas

This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher serving approximately 27 students through push-in and pull-out services in a school setting. The position follows a Monday through Friday schedule from 7:45 AM to 3:30 PM, located in the San Marcos, TX area.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing specialized instruction to meet diverse student needs.
• Supporting students through both push-in and pull-out service models.
• Developing and updating Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), including writing Present Levels of Academic Achievement and Functional Performance (PLAAFP) statements.
• Participating actively in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings to collaborate on student educational plans.

Qualifications and experience:

• Valid Texas Department of Education Special Education and Core Subjects endorsements for EC-12.
• Proven experience with ARD meetings and comfort contributing to decision-making processes.
• Strong ability to create, implement, and update comprehensive IEPs tailored to individual student needs.
