Dyslexia Special Education Teacher | San Marcos, Texas

Step into a meaningful teaching assignment for the 2026-2027 school year as a Dyslexia Teacher, supporting both Special Education and General Education students. This contract position features a steady Monday to Friday schedule, from 7:45 AM to 3:30 PM. You'll guide a caseload of approximately 25 students, primarily at the EC-6 level, with opportunities to work with Upper School students as needs arise. This campus employs the Reading by Design curriculum, offering you a robust framework to make a positive impact.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Texas Educator License with Special Education and Core/Generalist endorsements
• Experience leading Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings, with confidence in contributing to the process
• Proficiency supporting students with dyslexia in both inclusive and specialized settings
• Understanding of and dedication to following school dress code policies that foster equality and community

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted dyslexia instruction within Special Ed and General Ed classrooms, adapting lessons to individual student needs
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and support staff to drive student success
• Participate in ARD meetings and contribute to individualized education plans
• Maintain accurate student records and documentation as required
