Special Education Teacher | San Marcos, Texas

Make a difference in the lives of young learners as a contract Special Education Teacher for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This full-time position, based near San Marcos, TX, runs Monday through Friday from 7:45 AM to 3:30 PM, totaling 37.5 hours a week. You'll support a small group of five EC-6 students in a classroom environment that emphasizes positive reinforcement, a clear value system, and individualized learning plans. Two of these students require more functional than life skills support, allowing you to draw on your expertise and creativity each day.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Texas Educator License with Special Education Endorsement
• Prior hands-on experience with Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) processes, including attending and contributing in meetings
• Solid understanding of foundational learning and life skills for EC-6 students
• Familiarity with or willingness to participate in SAMA (Satori Alternative to Managing Aggression) training
• Ability to adhere to a professional work environment, including compliance with dress code policies
