Qualifications:

• Current Education Specialist Credential
• Valid Moderate/Severe Special Education endorsement/license
• Previous experience in a high school special education setting strongly preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide daily instruction and support within a high school SDC classroom
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
• Adapt curriculum to fit unique learning profiles and encourage student independence
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to foster a cohesive learning experience
• Manage classroom behaviors with positivity and evidence-based strategies
• Maintain detailed records and ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding special education
