Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid California Education Specialist credential required
  • Moderate/Severe license necessary
  • Previous experience working with high school students is highly beneficial
  • Background in SDC or inclusive classrooms a strong plus
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Commitment to individualized, student-centered teaching practices

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and support high school students with moderate/severe disabilities in a dedicated SDC classroom
  • Design and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s abilities and goals
  • Collaborate with educators, counselors, and support staff to create a positive learning environment
  • Foster strong relationships with students and families, promoting engagement in learning and development
  • Track progress, assess student needs, and adjust instruction for maximum impact
  • Maintain all necessary documentation and comply with relevant educational guidelines
