Special Education Teacher in San Mateo, CA

Key Qualifications:

• Active California teaching credential with mild/moderate authorization (required)
• Experience working as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting, ideally with K-2 or K-5 students
• Strong organizational, communication, and classroom management skills
• Passion for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to create and adapt Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Commitment to promoting students' academic, emotional, and social success

Responsibilities Include:

• Delivering specialized instruction to meet the unique academic and behavioral needs of students
• Designing, implementing, and monitoring IEPs in partnership with families and staff
• Maintaining accurate records for compliance and student progress tracking
