Special Education Teacher - San Mateo, CA

You'll support students as a Mild to Moderate Special Education Teacher, working with two RSP caseloads at the middle school level.

Qualifications:

• Current, active California teaching credential in Mild to Moderate Special Education (required)
• Experience supporting students with varied learning needs in a Resource Specialist Program (RSP) setting preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
• Ability to collaborate effectively with general education staff, parents, and related service providers

Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of middle school students receiving RSP services
• Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Adapt curriculum and instructional techniques to support diverse learners
• Employ data-driven strategies to monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed
• Maintain compliance with state and federal special education requirements
• Actively participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and school staff collaboration
