This opportunity is for a full-time Special Education Teacher specializing in high school resource support for grades 9-12. The assignment lasts for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year and is based in San Tan Valley, AZ. This contract role focuses on delivering tailored educational plans and services to students requiring specialized instruction within a high school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to create inclusive learning environments
- Provide direct instruction and support to students in small groups or one-on-one settings
- Monitor student progress and adjust lesson plans accordingly to meet individual goals
- Ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations
Position Qualifications:
- Valid Arizona Department of Education Special Education Certification
- Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Experience working with high school students in special education preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
