Special Education Teacher - San Tan Valley, AZ

You’ll guide, support, and inspire students in a behavior self-contained classroom, equipping them to achieve their full potential in a nurturing environment.

Qualifications & Experience Sought:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification for the state of Arizona
• Experience developing and implementing IEPs for students with behavioral and emotional needs
• Proven ability to manage classroom behaviors using evidence-based interventions
• Skillful in collaborating with paraprofessionals, therapists, and parents
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
• Previous work in a self-contained setting preferred, especially with elementary-age youth

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver individualized instruction aligned with IEP goals
• Implement positive behavioral interventions and specialized strategies
• Foster a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment focused on skill development
• Collect and maintain accurate data on student progress and behaviors
• Engage in frequent communication with families and multidisciplinary teams
