Special Education Teacher - San Tan Valley, AZ

Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification with a Special Education endorsement (or eligibility to obtain)
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a closely related field
• Experience supporting students with varying needs and IEPs in elementary settings
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities for working with teachers, therapists, and families
• Up-to-date knowledge of best practices, compliance requirements, and individualized instruction

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct small group and individualized instruction in a resource classroom for K-6 students
• Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to students' unique needs and learning styles
• Manage, track, and report progress on students’ Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers and related service providers to ensure the best learning outcomes
• Foster a supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages confidence, independence, and growth for each student
• Engage regularly with families, offering updates and resources to support student progress
