Special Education Teacher | San Tan Valley, Arizona

As a Special Education Teacher in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, individualized instruction to a group of nine students. You’ll collaborate closely with educators, support staff, and families to foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications:

• Active Arizona teaching license
• Current IVP fingerprint clearance card
• Previous experience working as a Special Education Teacher, ideally with junior high-aged students
• Solid knowledge of special education policies, IEP development, and classroom management
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students’ unique needs
• Adapt lessons and instructional strategies to ensure all students have access to the curriculum
• Manage a structured classroom environment to support positive behaviors and engagement
• Collaborate with support staff, therapists, and families to coordinate services and track student progress
• Maintain detailed records and participate in IEP meetings
• Foster a supportive learning environment that celebrates each student’s strengths
