Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching license for the state of Utah (or eligibility to obtain)
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
• Experience working with a range of disabilities and individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Proficient in behavior management, classroom modifications, and differentiation techniques
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable using instructional technology and assistive devices
• Ability to foster a supportive, inclusive learning environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and family members
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
• Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
• Participate in IEP meetings, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development
• Provide direct instruction in academic, social, and life skills
• Advocate for students’ needs and support their personal growth
