We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Educational Sign Language Interpreter to provide one-on-one interpreting services for a 3rd-grade elementary student. This full-time, onsite position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by ensuring the student has full access to classroom instruction and school activities.

Position Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 sign language interpreting services for a 3rd-grade student throughout the school day.
• Facilitate effective communication between the student, teachers, staff, and peers.
• Interpret classroom instruction, school activities, and other educational interactions.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional interpreting standards.
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers to support student success.
• Promote the student's independence and access to the educational environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3.5 EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) score required.
• Knowledge of educational interpreting best practices and professional ethics.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with elementary-aged students is preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary educational team.
