Key Qualifications:

  • Valid LBS1 (Learning Behavior Specialist) certification or Early Childhood Special Education certification required, depending on the role
  • Experience working with neurodiverse children in K-8th grade settings
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to support students, families, and colleagues
  • Ability to manage and individualize instruction for small caseloads (less than 10 students)
  • Commitment to inclusive education practices and positive behavior support

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction and support services tailored to individual student needs
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and staff to ensure comprehensive supports
  • Foster a positive, engaging, and safe classroom environment
  • Participate in professional development days (8/13–8/17) ahead of the student start date (8/18)
  • Maintain ongoing communication with families regarding student progress
