In this contract role, you’ll work closely with a small caseload (less than 10 students), ensuring that each child receives the individualized support and instruction they need for a successful academic journey.
Skills and Background:
- Valid LBS1 certification paired with Early Childhood credentials (required)
- Experience working with neurodiverse children in grades K-8
- Demonstrated ability to create and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with families and support staff
- Compassion, adaptability, and a student-focused mindset
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to your caseload of neurodiverse students, promoting their academic and social-emotional growth
- Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning needs and abilities
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and aides to provide holistic support
- Guide classroom assistants and facilitate a positive learning environment
- Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and all required documentation
- Attend professional development and training from 8/13 to 8/17 to prepare for the academic year. Student instruction begins 8/18.
