Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid state certification in Special Education at the elementary level
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Special Education or a closely related field
• Thorough understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
• Strong ability to modify curriculum and adapt teaching methods for diverse learners
• Prior experience in elementary education or working with students with varying disabilities is highly valued
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with faculty, families, and support staff
• Dedication to fostering an inclusive, positive classroom environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction and specialized interventions for elementary students identified with special needs
• Develop and monitor IEPs, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure student success
• Adapt lesson plans and materials to meet the unique needs of each child
• Provide a supportive and responsive classroom, promoting social, emotional, and academic growth
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, related service providers, and parents to maximize student progress
• Maintain accurate records, monitor progress, and report regularly to key stakeholders
