Grades 6 - 8 Grades K - 5 Special Education Teacher in Sayre, PA

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting middle school learners in an emotional support setting. This position runs from now through June 5, 2026, with a consistent weekday schedule of 7:30am to 3:10pm. Collaborate closely with a dedicated educational team and make an immediate impact in the lives of students requiring specialized support in grades 7 and 8. The classroom currently serves 13 students, with the possibility of serving up to 20 as the school year progresses.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Special Education Teacher certification required
• Experience working with students in grades 6–8
• Previous success in emotional support or similar classroom environments is highly valued
• Confidence in managing a dynamic caseload and adapting to changing classroom needs
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships with students, parents, and staff

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction tailored to the emotional and academic needs of students
• Create and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with other specialists and family members
• Foster a safe, nurturing classroom climate that supports emotional regulation and academic growth
• Monitor student progress and adapt instructional strategies as needed
• Maintain accurate records, document interventions, and participate in necessary meetings and professional development
