Special Education Teacher in Schuyler, NE

An exciting opportunity awaits for a skilled and passionate educator to make a significant impact as an Elementary Special Education Teacher in a vibrant onsite school environment. This full-time, temporary contract assignment, beginning as soon as possible and continuing through December 2026, involves working closely with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best educational outcomes for learners with disabilities.

Essential Qualifications:

• Valid state certification and/or licensure in Special Education.
• Experience in elementary special education settings is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated proficiency in developing, updating, and maintaining Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Comfortable conducting and participating in IEP meetings with students, families, and school staff.
• Strong ability to collaborate and communicate with educators, families, and related service providers.
• Skilled in monitoring student progress and adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
• Availability to work onsite, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted, specialized instruction to elementary students with diverse learning needs.
• Manage all aspects of IEP development, implementation, and regular updates to reflect student growth and requirements.
• Lead and actively participate in IEP meetings, ensure accurate documentation, and uphold compliance with all special education guidelines.
• Work closely with fellow educators, support staff, and families to create a nurturing and effective learning environment.
• Continuously assess and document student progress, updating instructional plans as necessary.
• Fulfill all special education responsibilities for students throughout the duration of the assignment.
