Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility for certification)
• Experience working within a Life Skills or similar self-contained special education classroom

• Strong collaboration and communication skills for partnering with paraprofessionals, administrators, and families
• Patience, creativity, and a passion for fostering inclusive, positive learning environments

Responsibilities:

• Lead instruction and activities for a class of four students, grades K-5, in a Life Skills setting
• Collaborate daily with classroom paras to implement effective individualized support
• Develop, modify, and track progress on IEPs to ensure student growth and achievement
• Create engaging lesson plans that address both academic and daily living skills
• Maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom climate
• Communicate regularly with families about student progress and classroom activities
