Key Qualifications & Requirements:
- Valid Arizona Secondary Teaching License
- Current K-12 Special Education Certificate
- IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Prior experience supporting students with emotional disabilities and diverse educational needs, including at-risk, limited English proficient, and exceptional learners
- Strong background in federal, state, and district special services compliance, including IEP development and implementation
- Familiarity with or willingness to undergo Essential Elements of Effective Instruction (E.E.E.I.) training
- Comfortable with varying classroom settings: Inclusion, Intensive Support, Life Skills, and Self-contained environments
- Must commute within 30 minutes of Fairfax, Central, or Hayden priority schools
Responsibilities:
- Deliver expert instruction and support for caseloads ranging from Inclusion to Intensive, based on assignment (25-14 students)
- Collaborate with colleagues, related service providers, and families to craft individualized education plans
- Foster an inclusive, respectful environment tailored to each student’s social-emotional and academic needs
- Participate in ongoing staff development and departmental meetings as required
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and actively contribute to compliance procedures
This full-time position spans the 2026-2027 academic year, with mandatory participation in CIE from July 21-24 and all-staff return on July 27. Your commitment will help students realize their full potential and achieve success far beyond the classroom.
