This contract opportunity is ideal for educators passionate about individualized instruction and positive behavioral supports. Multiple positions are available within high-priority programs, all at easy commuting distances from Fairfax, Central, and Hayden. The district seeks professionals experienced with students who have diverse learning, behavioral, and social/emotional support needs.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid Arizona Secondary Teaching License
- Current K-12 Special Education Certificate required
- Must possess a valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Experience working with students with emotional and behavioral disabilities, autism, and students requiring life skills/transition-focused academics
- Familiarity with federal, state, and district requirements for special education documentation and programming
- Comfortable with both inclusion and self-contained classroom models (including CBT, SUCCESS, Practical, and STRIVE programs)
- Awareness and sensitivity to the needs of at-risk, ELL, and exceptional students
- Willingness to complete Essential Elements of Effective Instruction (E.E.E.I.) training or attend staff development sessions
- Committed to onsite instruction; remote work is not available for these roles
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction across a range of special education settings
- Use data-driven decision making and evidence-based practices
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support students’ academic and behavioral growth
- Develop and implement IEPs that comply with all federal, state, and district regulations
- Foster a safe and supportive classroom climate that encourages prosocial skills and self-regulation
This is a full-time, onsite role beginning in late July, with all staff returning for the academic year through late May 2027. Your expertise will impact students across the district who need passionate, skilled educators the most.
