Special Education Teacher - Scottsdale, Arizona

What you’ll need:

• Valid state certification in Special Education (or ability to obtain before start date)
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
• Experience teaching or supporting students with diverse learning needs in K-12 settings
• Strong knowledge of IEP processes, instructional adaptations, and classroom management techniques
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Commitment to fostering a positive and supportive learning environment

Key responsibilities:

• Develop, adapt, and implement lesson plans tailored to students’ IEP goals and individual needs
• Assess student progress, track data, and provide updates on each student’s achievements and areas for growth
• Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to ensure accommodations are in place
• Engage families in the educational process through regular communication and partnership
• Participate in IEP meetings, assessments, and ongoing professional development as required
• Advocate for students’ academic and social-emotional well-being
