As part of a supportive school community near Seaford, you’ll work with a caseload of roughly 10 students, all between the ages of 3 and 5. Your expertise and enthusiasm for early childhood special education will be instrumental as you help each child reach their full potential, particularly those exhibiting challenging or negative behaviors.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Delaware Early Childhood Special Education certification required
• Prior experience with early childhood populations, especially ages 3–5
• Proficiency in supporting children with a wide range of abilities and disabilities
• Demonstrated success in managing and developing strategies for addressing negative behaviors
• Strong commitment to early childhood education, with a genuine desire to work in this age group

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each child’s needs
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages learning through play and exploration
• Collaborate with families, therapists, and other educators to ensure comprehensive support
• Utilize creative methods to engage students with varying learning styles and behavioral needs
• Track student progress, adjusting interventions and strategies as needed
