This opportunity is for a full-time Special Education Teacher position serving at a developmental preschool with an in-person setting in Seattle, WA. The role supports young learners within a specialized educational environment focused on early childhood development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to early childhood learners with diverse educational needs
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with developmental goals
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and staff to create a supportive learning atmosphere
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly to ensure growth
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with educational standards and regulations
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Valid Washington State Special Education (SPED) License and Certification
- Early Childhood Certification is mandatory for developmental preschool settings
- Experience working in special education with early childhood age groups preferred
- Ability to engage and support students in a full-time, in-person classroom environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner effectively with colleagues and families
