Key Qualifications:
- Valid Educator Certification required (images of licenses must be presented)
- Experience teaching in self-contained special education settings, preferably with K–5 students
- Comfort supporting students with varying needs, including autism and toileting assistance
- Strong communication skills to interact with students, paraprofessionals, and school leadership
- Flexibility and adaptability—ideal for travel professionals who enjoy new experiences
- Readiness for an on-site, 35-hour workweek (Monday–Friday, 7:40am–3:20pm)
Major Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and interventions in a self-contained classroom setting for 12 elementary students
- Collaborate with paraprofessional staff to ensure each student's needs are met
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, maintaining compliance with state regulations
- Foster a nurturing and structured learning environment for students with diverse abilities
- Communicate regularly with school administration, families, and service providers
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and classroom activities
