Qualifications and Experience Sought:
- Valid 461 Special Education License required
- Gifted Endorsement strongly preferred
- Previous experience with special education populations or self-contained classrooms
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement IEPs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with parents, staff, and related service providers
- Commitment to fostering a positive, supportive classroom environment
- Flexibility and adaptability in meeting diverse learners’ needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver specialized instruction for assigned caseload in accordance with IEPs
- Develop educational materials and adapt curriculum for varying student abilities
- Assess student progress and adjust strategies to enhance learning outcomes
- Maintain accurate records, including IEP documentation and student data
- Collaborate regularly with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Create an inclusive, structured classroom environment that promotes social-emotional growth
