This full-time contract opportunity involves working with either a K-2nd grade or 3rd-8th grade caseload in extended resource, self-contained settings. Qualifications and Experience Sought:

  • Valid 461 Special Education License required
  • Gifted Endorsement strongly preferred
  • Previous experience with special education populations or self-contained classrooms
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement IEPs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with parents, staff, and related service providers
  • Commitment to fostering a positive, supportive classroom environment
  • Flexibility and adaptability in meeting diverse learners’ needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver specialized instruction for assigned caseload in accordance with IEPs
  • Develop educational materials and adapt curriculum for varying student abilities
  • Assess student progress and adjust strategies to enhance learning outcomes
  • Maintain accurate records, including IEP documentation and student data
  • Collaborate regularly with general education teachers, support staff, and families
  • Create an inclusive, structured classroom environment that promotes social-emotional growth
