Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification with 460 licensure
• Experience working with students in grades 3-8 preferred
• Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and accommodations
• Ability to foster an inclusive, supportive classroom culture
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with students, staff, and families
• Adaptable and resourceful, with a commitment to student success

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized lesson plans tailored to students’ needs in the extended resource classroom
• Deliver instruction and support in academic, behavioral, and social-emotional areas
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and administrators to ensure students’ needs are met
• Conduct ongoing assessment and progress monitoring, adjusting strategies as necessary
• Maintain accurate documentation for IEP meetings, progress reports, and other compliance requirements
• Encourage and nurture positive relationships to promote student engagement and growth
