Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification is required
  • Experience working with students with Autism, early childhood special needs, or intellectual disabilities
  • Strong knowledge of classroom management and differentiated instruction
  • Elementary Special Education and Behavior Endorsements are essential for these roles
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment
  • Previous experience in Elementary, Early Childhood, and/or High School SPED settings preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
  • Provide direct instruction, intervention, and support to students in autism programs, early childhood, or intellectual disability settings
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to ensure student progress
  • Monitor, track, and document student growth and behavioral data
  • Utilize behavior intervention strategies and create positive classroom routines
  • Participate in IEP meetings and progress reporting
  • Maintain an encouraging, structured classroom atmosphere to help every student succeed
