Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification is required
- Experience working with students with Autism, early childhood special needs, or intellectual disabilities
- Strong knowledge of classroom management and differentiated instruction
- Elementary Special Education and Behavior Endorsements are essential for these roles
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment
- Previous experience in Elementary, Early Childhood, and/or High School SPED settings preferred
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Provide direct instruction, intervention, and support to students in autism programs, early childhood, or intellectual disability settings
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to ensure student progress
- Monitor, track, and document student growth and behavioral data
- Utilize behavior intervention strategies and create positive classroom routines
- Participate in IEP meetings and progress reporting
- Maintain an encouraging, structured classroom atmosphere to help every student succeed
