As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a crucial role in fostering a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere, providing individualized instruction, and advocating for students’ unique needs.

This full-time, contract position begins on August 22 and involves working directly with a middle school EBD caseload, making a meaningful impact on the lives of students every day.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current Special Education teaching license (with EBD endorsement or equivalent preferred)
  • Experience working with Emotional Behavior Disorders at the middle school level is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and data-driven instructional strategies
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and support staff
  • Ability to create, modify, and implement behavior intervention plans
  • Passion for helping students discover their potential in a supportive and structured environment

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the diverse needs of students with EBD
  • Manage a caseload, write and update IEPs, and document student progress
  • Implement positive behavioral support systems and collaborate with counseling and administrative teams
  • Foster a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages social, behavioral, and academic growth
  • Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary teams
  • Provide accommodations and modify curriculum to ensure accessibility for all students
